In continuation of my Confidential Despatch of

the 26th. July, I have une honour to forward a statement of ex- -penditure incurred on account of the war during the period let. January to 30th, September, 1915.

This statement does not include the cost of maintenance of intemed enemy subjects, the payment of which by the Colony was approved in your telogram of the 16th, ovember. A aum of $68,000 was voted by the Legislative Council on the 2nd. Decem- -ber to meet this charge for the year 1915.

3.

The matter of the rent for the Club Germania,

referred to in my previous Despatch, still forms the subject of discussion with the Consul-General for the United States of

ALerica.
